This month we recognize Toba Bernstein, 8th grade science teacher in Bristol Township, PA. Toba has been a valued, contributing member to PAESTA since the organization’s founding. Most importantly, Toba is a support to her colleagues, both to those in her building and those in the greater PAESTA community. Her nominator states that, “Toba is always willing to lend an ear, serve as a sounding board, and volunteer information and activities to help people problem solve.” This year, Toba is volunteering her time to work with the Penn State Earth and Space Science Partnership to investigate students’ understanding of Earth science, which will contribute to the advancement of Earth science learning across the state and nation.
