NASA images animated to show the annual pulses of vegetation and ice

Here is a view looking at one year of seasonal transformations on Earth. Made possible by the NASA Visible Earth team, John Nelson on the UX-Blog took twelve cloud-free satellite imagery mosaics of Earth ("Blue Marble Next Generation") at each month of the year and wrapped them into some projections, then stitched them together into animated gifs.  One of these gifs is presented below.  To download different sizes of the animation, and to see an additional "breathing Earth" animation, visit: http://uxblog.idvsolutions.com/2013/07/a-breathing-earth.html.
