Opportunity: Become a Fellow in the New Science Teacher Academy (July 1 deadline)

Second and third year secondary science teachers are eligible to apply to become a Fellow in the New Science Teacher Academy, an NSTA program that supports new teachers. Participants are offered professional development that blends consistent online learning activities with face-to-face experiences. The Academy provides each teacher with a year-long, discipline-specific mentor, web-based content development courses and other rich resources, membership in the NSTA, and an opportunity to attend the National Conference on Science Education.

Administrators with an eye on classroom performance can take advantage of professional development for new teachers in their state, district, and community school. If you’re a new teacher in your second or third year of teaching, apply to share in this wonderful program to help you be the best you can be.

Visit www.nsta.org/academy for more details and an application. July 1 is the deadline.
