Wanted: high school volunteers for Governor’s Youth Council for Hunting, Fishing, and Conservation
The youth council will advise Governor Wolf on issues and legislation affecting the environment and sportsmen of Pennsylvania, develop ways to encourage more participation in all forms of outdoor recreation and conservation among their generation and future generations, and enhance the Commonwealth’s hunting and fishing heritage.
Attached is Governor Wolf’s executive order, the PA DCNR press release about the order, and an application form. PAESTA has been asked to forward this letter and attached documents to any youth in your organization that may be interested in serving on the youth council. Council members will be expected to attend four meetings per year, and research select issues in preparation for the meetings.
The application deadline is October 3, 2016, and applicants should email cover letters, resumes, and completed application forms to:
